Sensing Climate Workshops

These workshops guide participants through the process of materializing climate data as small weavings. Together, we reflect on weaving as a practice of interpreting and archiving data and processing our relationships to the places we love in the context of anthropogenic climate change .

The workshop starts with a presentation of the Woven Climate Datascapes series, followed by a discussion of climate grief as participants share images of landscapes/places that are important to them. Participants then select a climate dataset and design unique color-codes before creating a personal weaving on a small hand-held loom.
